ADITION Acquires Video Specialist mov.ad
Freiburg, 14 February 2017. Virtual minds continues to drive the integration of its full tech stack offering forward. Following the recent acquisition of the data management specialist The ADEX and the expansion of data processing centre capacity, the virtual minds subsidiary of ADITION technologies has now acquired the Munich-based video and rich media specialist mov.ad.
The acquisition occurs within the scope of an asset deal in which mov.ad will be merged with ADITION technologies. Every product and solution of the video and rich media specialist that is already closely technically integrated with the ADITION adserving platform will continue to be supported and developed by the previous team of experts at mov.ad, which was also acquired, under the direction of Hendrik Thiel. These products and solutions will also be offered on the market under the mov.ad brand in the future. The former headquarters of mov.ad in Munich will become a new location for ADITION technologies in addition to Berlin, Dusseldorf and Freiburg. Its staff will be expanded in the coming months. Thomas Klimpel, co-founder and previous Managing Director of mov.ad GmbH, will leave the company within the scope of this acquisition but remain associated with mov.ad and ADITION as a consultant.
